Inspiration from -Leo Buscaglia

"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring...all of which have the potential to turn a life around."

-Leo Buscaglia

Saturday, January 22nd was the 2nd day the N2God Store was open. Two of our favorite friends stopped by and delighted us with their company for a long visit. I'm sitting here smiling (a little bit nervously...just a bit...) because they were the only ones who stopped in all day. I know you must be thinking "WHAT?" Unfortunately good advertising is too expensive right now and being physically tired didn't help anything as friends asked me during last week about our new venture. Oh rest assure, I am excited...I was just way too tired to 'talk it up'. Our store is open 'Most Saturdays' and in January only two. OK...I'll stop with the excuses...I need to work harder! The real reason of this post is to share that when I came across Leo's words this morning...I was instantly reminded of our two favorite friends who came by that store and my heart is grateful for them.

More reasons why...
During our visit my friend inspired me to pursue some ideas I'm considering and she even shared her own idea to help me...that is the power of caring! When I read L.B.'s inspiration early this morning, I reminded God "Lord, this is what I wanted to do on Saturday with a stranger you bring us." He (the Lord) reminded me that this is exactly what He did for me on Saturday. I guess you could even say "He showed and told". I love when He does that! It was one of His surprises for me after 8am Mass.  Fr. Kline's Homily was wonderful! Father talked about the dignity of human beings and prayed for full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life. God works in the most beautiful ways and people too!

Let us all remember that the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring...all have the potential to turn a life around! Yes, could even save some one's life. May God bless Leo Buscaglia for the gift of his inspiring words.
Blessed,
Patty
