 Yesterday all the 'Messages on a bottle' gifts fundraiser went great. Any size of donation was given to help fund 'Kairos prison ministry'. It was fun crafting the bottles and donating other unique gifts from the store and just in time for mother's day.

Finally the sun is out and it is turning out to be a spectacular spring day. After Mass this morning we opened God's Store and I said a prayer of thanksgiving for all the blessings of my life which included the wonderful rain although I've been missing sunshine very much. I'm looking forward to any visitors God sends and I plan to have a little time to work on a few projects.

If you are out and about, please stop by and visit and enjoy of cup of tea. I would love to show you the 'new' beautiful prints for sale. Randy has been working hard...his love and passion reproducing gorgeous antique art shines through.

One of the newest inspirational cards, that I just love is about Saint Mary Magdalene. Mary She loved our Lord so deeply.

To follow is a little of the copy on the back side of Saint Mary Magdalene prayer card The card is 5.5" x 3" and has a beautiful art of Mary Magdalene drying the Lord's feet with her hair. Really touching. Her feast day is July 22.

Mary Magdalene, or Mary of Magdala, was one of Jesus' most celebrated disciples, and the most important woman disciple in the movement of Jesus. Jesus cleansed her of "seven demons", conventionally interpreted as referring to complex illnesses. She became most prominent during his last days, being present at the cross after the male disciples (excepting John the Beloved) had fled, and at his burial. She was the first person to see Jesus after his Resurrection, according to both John 20 and Mark 16:9.

The gift of affection: Be generous won't you? Give appropriate hugs, kisses, pats on the back, and handholds. Give a smile especially to someone who doesn't have one for you. Your smile relays the message that they are instantly accepted.  One of the most important things we can do is acknowledge someones presence.
In life we are all after the same thing are we not? We want to love someone and be loved in return. Let your actions demonstrate the love you have for family and friends. Most of all, be kind to the stranger for you may be entertaining an Angel sent from Heaven above.

Candlemas Day, February 2nd

 Lit some pretty candles at work to celebrate Candlemas Day. Candlemas is the day to celebrate the 'Presentation of the Christ Child'. Christ is the brightest light of the world.
There is something serene smelling candle wax burning. It instantly reminds of the Adoration Chapel or the celebration of a birthday remembering our children making a wish and blowing out the candles on their cake. Great memories...triggered by a smell... God is so good!

 Time has flew by quickly! Can you believe that the N2God Store is officially 1year old? We were open approximately 19 Saturdays in 2011. My 'Girl Scout try' to be open as many Saturdays as I could as I'm a full time secretary Monday - Friday in the city.  My Saturday 8:15 am Mass at St. Joseph Parish on Millwood in Wichita works perfectly. My favorite way to start my day.

 Heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported the N2God store, attending one of the art classes offered, shopped or stopped by for a cup of tea to visit. Each and every person has been an answer to my prayers.  Your presence has been a gift 'a present' and I have loved watching some of my friends 'new & old' open up and recognize the gifts that God has placed inside of them. We are His treasures and He delights in us. The Prayer and Shares have been lovely. The dream of the N2God Store has become the reality I only imagined...a blessing place.

This year we have made new friends and rekindled old friendships. The store is a happy little place and I'm hoping for more new visitors this new year. All faiths are welcome! One thing you can count on is that there is always some new inspiration and often a new flavor of tea to try. Come to 'just look'...browse...I'm not a pushy sales person, Randy will quickly attest to that. It's not a fancy place...however it is quaint.

Plans for 2012 you may be wondering? To do whatever He tells us and for me 'to continue to do my best to love outloud'.  Everything is a gift from God and Randy and I are happy stewards. One of the many blessings has been learning some amazing new things from friends (some who were strangers). I have discovered the joy of creating art and sharing the fun with others...and I may offer more 'creating classes'. I'm more a student than the teacher! Most important is sharing my faith in God and listening to others share theirs. We have much to learn from one another don't we?

Some serious thought is going into organizing an 'inspirational lending library'. Also, another one of our friends may be offering some of his beautiful Rosaries for sale. Our friend 'Sally Sings' music is now available (3 different CDs to chose from) and I'm working on the Cursillo corner with all sorts of interesting De Colores items. Applications and brochures are on hand too. Are you wondering if any of stwant2be's 'messages in a bottle' sold? No, however one of our grand daughters almost bought one...does that count?  (big smile out loud). I did create some very special Christmas gifts for fun, love and appreciation and the 'messages in a bottle fun' will continue into the new year...
